Capitalizing on our sand blasting capabilities, we can achieve near-white and white blast for surface preparation that complies with SSPC standards. Using aluminum oxide as the abrasive media, we perform blasting services in our in-house sandblasting facility, which can accommodate work pieces that are 11.5' wide, 10' high, 30' long and weigh up to 40,000 lbs per piece.

Materials we prepare conform to the SSPC-SP-10 near-white standard, except for a few instances of discoloration that are permitted under the standard. After our near-white blast cleaning process, the surfaces are free from rust scale, loose mill scale, dirt, and loose paint. We meet and exceed the near-white blast cleaning standard specifications as more than 95% of the surface is free from any visible stains. Our surface preparation to SSPC-SP-5 white standard is quite similar to the near white standard except the surface is completely free from any foreign matter, such as corrosion, coatings, and mill scales, presenting an appealing gray-white metallic color to the surface.
