Operating one of the largest capacities on the eastern seaboard for heat treatment, we provide normalizing and tempering services for a number of industries, including hydropower as well as cement. Equipped with a Class 2, 40‘ Redding furnace and a 20-ton overhead crane, our specialization lies in the heat treatment of ‘extra large’ and ‘extra heavy’ parts. In addition we also have an 18’ Johnson Car Bottom Class-2 furnace with working temperatures between 1000°F and 2300°F, and an 18’ Chesmont Class-1 furnace, whose working temperature ranges from 300°F to 1400°F.
Our normalizing services relieve stress induced in parts during casting or forging, and improve their machinability. Besides normalizing, we also provide tempering services for hardening your finished parts. Tempering services include quenching in water, air, or oil, to suit customer requirements. All our heat treatment services comply with AMS-H-6875 and AMS-6088 standards.
